IR-120-54

Pressure Reducing Valve

The BERMAD Model IR-120-54 is a hydraulically operated, diaphragm actuated control valve that reduces higher upstream pressure to lower constant downstream pressure regardless of fluctuating demand or varying upstream pressure. It is a Normally Closed valve, which opens in
response to a pressure rise command and shuts in the absence of that command.

Features and Benefits

  • Line Pressure Driven, Normally Closed
    • Closes upon control failure
    • Protects downstream systems
    • Amplifies and relays weak remote command
  • Engineered Plastic Valve with Industrial Grade Design
    • Adaptable on-site to a wide range of end connection sizes and types
    • Articulated flange connections eliminate mechanical and hydraulic stresses
    • Highly durable, chemical and cavitation resistant
  • hYflow ‘Y’ Valve Body with “Look Through” Design
    • Ultra-high flow capacity - Low pressure
  • Unitized Flexible Super Travel (FST) Diaphragm and a Guided Plug
    • Accurate and stable regulation with smooth closing
    • Requires low actuation pressure
    • Prevents diaphragm erosion and distortion
  • User-Friendly Design
    • Easy pressure setting
    • Simple in-line inspection and service

Typical Applications

  • Computerized Irrigation Systems
  • Pressure Reducing Stations
  • Remote and/or Elevated Plots
  • Distribution Centers
  • Low Supplied Pressure Irrigation Systems
  • Energy Saving Irrigation Systems
