Regional Sales Manager – Ag Irrigation Technology

Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for managing all sales activities within the assigned territory, promoting BERMAD’s innovative irrigation solutions, and supporting customers through technical and commercial expertise. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, technical knowledge of irrigation systems, and the ability to work independently while traveling extensively.

Responsibilities

1) Manage and grow sales in the territory, including marketing and technical support for dealers, engineers, and end-users.

2) Establish and develop BERMAD’s customer base; achieve sales goals and objectives.

3) Provide pre- and post-sales support, from project initiation through implementation and troubleshooting.

4) Conduct technical presentations, seminars, and training sessions for customers and industry professionals.

5) Support dealers and distributors through joint sales calls, presentations, and participation in local trade shows.

6) Make field service calls to end-users and growers within the region.

7) Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities and product improvements.

8) Prepare sales forecasts and contribute to strategic planning.

9) Ensure timely and professional handling of customer inquiries.

Qualifications

1) Experience: 3–5 years in technical sales within the irrigation industry.

2) Strong knowledge of irrigation systems and Ag-Tech solutions.

3) Effective solution-selling abilities and experience conducting product seminars.

4) Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

5) Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and travel extensively.

6) Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM software and CAD is an advantage.

7) Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organized.

8) Fluency in written and verbal English. Key Competencies: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Professional demeanor, sound judgment, and ability to handle multiple priorities. Demonstrated initiative and accountability.

Preferred Education and Experience

Preferred (not required): Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Irrigation, Water Engineering, Soil and Water Sciences, or a related field.
