The case study presented in this video demonstrates BERMAD’s automation technology implemented in the fields of Panatleón, one of the leading sugar producers in the Americas. This success story presents a 30% increase in the yields of the plantation after installing BERMAD’s automation system.
Automated Irrigation and Fertigation Control
To increase profitability and optimize resources, a sugarcane producer adopted BERMAD’s automated irrigation and fertigation system. The implementation included remote telemetry and real-time data monitoring, enabling farmers to deliver the exact amount of water and fertilizer needed—when it’s needed. This transition eliminated manual labor inefficiencies and reduced input waste while improving crop performance and operational transparency.
With BERMAD controllers connected to the field units, all irrigation and fertigation actions are managed remotely, secured against theft, and precisely documented. The result: crop yield increased from 100 to 130 tons per hectare, and sugar content rose from 10% to 13%, all while reducing water and fertilizer usage.
