Van điều khiển vận hành bằng thủy lực kiểm soát việc cấp nước và mực nước trong bể chứa. Việc cấp nước cho bể được thực hiện dựa trên tín hiệu từ công tắc phao điện hai mức, mở van khi mực nước xuống đến mức thấp đã cài đặt trước và đóng van khi mực nước đạt đến mức cao đã cài đặt trước.
