Van điều khiển giảm áp suất, vận hành bằng thủy lực và kích hoạt bằng màng ngăn, giúp giảm áp suất cao ở phía thượng lưu xuống áp suất thấp hơn ở phía hạ lưu theo một tỷ lệ cố định. Tỷ lệ giảm áp suất được xác định dựa trên kích thước van và loại phích cắm.
