Van điều khiển bằng thủy lực, kiểm soát mực nước và duy trì áp suất, dùng để kiểm soát việc cấp nước và mực nước trong bể chứa. Trong quá trình cấp nước, van duy trì áp suất tối thiểu ở phía thượng lưu bất kể lưu lượng hoặc mực nước trong bể thay đổi. Việc cấp nước cho bể được điều khiển bởi một phao đứng hai mức không điều chỉnh, hoạt động bằng thủy lực, mở khi mực nước trong bể xuống đến mức thấp đã cài đặt trước và đóng kín hoàn toàn khi đạt đến mức cao đã cài đặt trước.
