Van duy trì áp suất BERMAD với điều khiển từ xa bằng thủy lực là van điều khiển vận hành bằng thủy lực, tác động bằng màng ngăn, duy trì áp suất tối thiểu đã cài đặt ở phía thượng lưu bất kể lưu lượng thay đổi hoặc áp suất phía hạ lưu biến động. Van sẽ mở hoặc đóng theo lệnh áp suất từ xa. Khi lắp đặt ngoài tuyến, van sẽ xả áp suất đường ống dư thừa.
