BERMAD IR-172 Flow Control and Pressure Reducing Valve has already proven to be an effective and reliable solution. Moreover, it is an essential component for pressure and flow control installed in the Bermad Outlet Management System (or OMS), which is an irrigation control head installed across many projects in India supplying irrigation water for farmers’ associations.

This valve presents the following features & benefits:

• Hydraulic valve, self-operated line pressure driven without needing external pressure or energy
• Composed of polymeric materials widely used and most suitable for irrigation water
• Highly durable with high cavitation & chemicals resistance – the composite polymer lends an elastic property to the valve body, so it can better absorb jets and vibration, presenting high cavitation damage resistance
• BERMAD IR-100 series presents Y valve body with «Look Through» design allowing high flow capacity. As well as unitized flexible diaphragm and guided plug
• Limit the flow to a preset max. value regardless of fluctuating demand or varying system pressure
• Flow limitation is done by a unique 3-way paddle flow control pilot, this pilot provides a versatile flow control solution without any structure head-loss when regulation is not required
• Reduces upstream pressure to lower constant and adjustable downstream pressure
• Latch solenoid allowing to control the plot valves operation remotely from the control center, the command is sent by the irrigation controller
• The required energy for the OMS operation is only for activating the latch solenoids in order to open/close the plot valves as required, therefore the energy consumption is very low & supplied by a small solar panel
